Joseph H. Levine

Joseph H. Levine is the fourth generation president of Joseph Levine & Son, funeral directors, an organization which has been serving the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community since 1883.


In addition to his role as head of the business, which has been continuously family owned and operated for 116 years, he has been active in Jewish communal affairs. He is a member of the board of the Jewish Family Service, on the board of trustees of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and served as a Federation vice president and co-chairman of the 1994-95 development executive committee.





In addition, he has served as president of the Golden Slipper Uptown Home, as a member and past president of the Golden Slipper Club & Charities, and has been a member of the board of Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is currently a member of B'nai B’rith and Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley, Pa., as well as National Jewish Funeral Directors and the Philadelphia Jewish Funeral Directors Associations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from St. Joseph's University and graduated as a licensed funeral director from Pittsburgh institute of Mortuary Science.
