Joseph
H. Levine
Joseph H. Levine is the fourth generation president of
Joseph Levine & Son, funeral directors, an organization
which has been serving the Greater Philadelphia Jewish
community since 1883.
|
In addition to his role as head of the business, which has
been continuously family owned and operated for 116 years, he has
been active in Jewish communal affairs. He is a member of the board
of the Jewish Family Service, on the board of trustees of the Jewish
Federation of Greater Philadelphia and served as a Federation vice
president and co-chairman of the 1994-95 development executive committee.

| In addition, he has served as president of the Golden
Slipper Uptown Home, as a member and past president of the Golden Slipper
Club & Charities, and has been a member of the board of Albert Einstein Medical
Center. He is currently a member of B'nai B’rith and Har Zion Temple in Penn
Valley, Pa., as well as National Jewish Funeral Directors
and the Philadelphia Jewish Funeral Directors Associations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration
from St. Joseph's University and graduated as a licensed funeral
director from Pittsburgh institute of Mortuary Science.
